NVIC Conference Notes on Mercury

The September Conference was very educational and informative about many of the hazards of vaccinations. Speaker after speaker told us of the inherent dangers to the commonly used childhood (and some adult) vaccines. We like to think that they are tested for safety and approved according to strict guidelines, but that is not the case. Speaker after speaker told about lies, deception, and dishonesty regarding vaccine testing and safety. We were shown multiple incidences where vaccine safety studies were coerced into giving false safety data. Time after time, we learned about manufacturer ploys to get vaccines approved with just a minimal testing. They gloss over the safety data for vaccines in favor of early distribution. Efficacy data is often lacking or skewed to make vaccines look good when they are not. Many studies lack controls or use other vaccines as their “control”. Dishonesty, deceit and lies in the ranks of pharmaceutical research was revealed.

Today our children will receive some 37 different vaccines in 11 doses before the age of 2 years old. That is a lot of toxic junk going into the blood stream of our youth. Then we wonder why we have so much ADHD, Autism and learning disabilities. Yet, many speakers told us that vaccines cause brain damage and demyelination, and are very neurotoxic ... very possibly due to the amount of mercury present.

The mercury issue was discussed in detail by many speakers. They told of the neurological damage caused by mercury and discussed the safe levels of mercury according to the EPA and FDA. In many cases if a child receives his vaccines “on schedule” they will be getting a 2-3 fold mercury level above EPA safety norms. Many speakers and exhibitors feel that it is the mercury in vaccines which cause autism. Congressman Dan Burton told of his first hand experiences with vaccine damage in two of his grandchildren. He relates much of their damage to the mercury in vaccines and said that manufacturers could get the mercury out ... if they wanted to, but it would mean a loss of revenue and so they refuse.

Ted Schettler spoke on the inherent dangers of mercury, which is found in many vaccines. Many researchers think that it is the mercury in vaccines which causes brain damage and is possibly linked to autism. Mercury is a potent neurotoxin and can cause brain damage by itself. The LOAEL of mercury is 50 micrograms/day. EPA says that .1 microgram per kilogram is the maximum safe dose. Yet, our children are getting 187 micrograms to 237 microgram from vaccines. And this is just the vaccine source of mercury ... What about all the other sources from food, environment, dental fillings and pollution? Our children are getting mercury toxic just from vaccines? One mother calculated the mercury dose from her son/s vaccines received in one day ... to be 2 times the EPA’s safe dose.

A few speakers were parents of children maimed or killed by these vaccines. One day their children were playing normally, the next day these children were autistic. In 1998, Michael Belkin lost his child just 16 hours after a hepatitis-B vaccine. He blames the vaccines for his daughter’s death. In 1999 Michael Horwin’s son died of a brain tumor which was possibly related to several vaccines. He blames vaccines for his son’s death.

Walking around the convention, one could meet parents of vaccine damaged children or talk to many people trying to educate the public about vaccine damage. There were groups there from DAMS (Defense Against Mercury Syndrome), DAN (Defeat Autism Now), Safe Minds, PROVE (Parents Requesting Open Vaccine Education), ANDI (Autism Network for Dietary Intervention), and many more. The most fascinating thing to me was to meet 2 -3 month old babies full of smiles and laughter. They would make eye-contact and smile when you spoke to them. They were full of life and not mentally handicapped by any vaccine. They were normal.

I hope this helps you make an informed decision about this very important question .... To Vaccinate or to not Vaccinate that is the question! But where is common sense?
